With DS3 he didn't start to use his crib until he was almost 8 months old. He either slept in his motion glider or with me and his daddy. I live in a small place right now and don't want to add the crib until i get a bigger place so, I thought about getting a rock n play sleeper for my little girl. I heard of the recall because mold can accumulate, but I figure if I keep it clean and dry there shouldn't be a problem. For those not doing the crib right away, what are you going to use?

I won't bother with a crib at all. I got my youngest a crib when he was one in hopes of getting him out of my bed, but it didn't. Work. Its converted into a toddler bed right now for him but still he won't use it. I'll be co sleeping with this one, and when she's sleeping through the night I'll work on getting her into the crib/toddler bed and just get my youngest a twin bed which he needs soon anyhow.

Wont be buying a crib here either. DS has his crib still and we converted it into a toddler bed. Baby boy will be sleeping with us for awhile anyways. By the time He needs a crib my DS will have an actual bed. It works out really well!

We won't be buying a crib any time soon. We co-sleep & bed share for at least three first 4 months. We have bought a pack n' play deluxe and plan to use that by the bed as well.

We already bought a crib, just because. But DS didn't use his until he was over 6 months. When we're not co-sleeping we use a pack n play with bassinet attachment next to our bed.

We're getting a crib but if our house hasn't sold by time she is born we will probably be putting her in a bassinet or something in our room until we move.

Hoping we will sell before but not getting my hopes up

*Thank you to

We won't. We will use the bassinet in the pack n play when we're not cosleeping. Then when baby outgrows the PNP we'll move her to the crib.

I have read a LOT of ladies mention that they aren't using a crib. I am going to be using mine right away, but I have a bed in the nursery, where I'll be sleeping.

Im not using a crib at first. I have a bassinet. However, I am setting up the crib anyway for when he is a little bigger. I also have a pack n play and swing in the livingroom area Im sure he will be sleeping in a lot.

I have a co-sleeper, it's a small type crib, but doesn't go very deep. I will use that until about 5 months, until I get concerned baby might sit up in it and have potential to fall out. Then, we'll move to the crib in our room which we haven't done yet, but I don't want to walk up and down the stairs all night.

We have a crib that was Nate's so we'll be using that for Mason (Nate is using it now since it turns into a toddler bed). As for right away, he'll be sleeping in a pack n play or something similar for the first few weeks in our room to get Nate use to everything.

We already have one, and I will set it up but he will be in a pack n play in our room for at least six months, probably longer, and the crib will end up holding laundry LOL

I have a crib because Dadzilla is on a rampage, however I have purchased a rock n play sleeper for her as well as a co-sleeper for the bed. I am not big on the getting out the bed in the middle of the night to feed, Lazy statement I know but my other 2 nursed about every 2 hours through the night and with my son we had it down to a science lol, he would reach out and grab the goods starting at about 5 months causing him to feed when hungry and sleep the rest of the night :-)
