Anyone start tummy time yet? I've been doing tummy time with her since day 2 by letting her rest on my chest and now she'll tolerate tummy time on a blanket on the floor. I'm so happy about this because she can already push up off my chest and hold her head up for about 35 seconds before needing to go back down.

Awesome! My little man has a strong neck too. He likes to hold his head up for a while. We have only done TT once, but the doc said to make sure to do it daily at a month old, which is next Monday.

Thank you, peimum, for my beautiful siggy!

I do tummy time with Dexter by letting him lie on my chest, the same as you've been doing with Rylie. He does have a pretty strong neck already and likes to have a good look around. I haven't tried him on the floor yet though.

I've been doing it since he came home from the NICU. But, he's a special circumstance - he had an OT in the NICU who did it with him, so we kept it up. He's got pretty decent control because of that - he can push up a little (when he wants to and isn't crying with his face down on his playmat) and can hold his head up fairly decently when I'm holding him on my chest. I try to do it daily - when he's in a good mood during his awake time, we use the playmat. If not, then I just have him do it on my chest.

Ya know, I never really did tummy time on the floor much with any of my babies. Just because they all seemed to hate it. I do let her do tt on my chest though, at least she's happy there! She's getting stronger, just last night DH commented on how she was controlling her head.

We started tummy time as soon as we were home from the hospital. He likes it better when he is on my chest, but I try and give him as much time on his activity mat or the bed as possible.

I've been sporadic with it, but he has a strong neck. He also has strong arms and legs. He did a quarter turn while on his belly today!

Yay Riley!! Tummy time going well here. I usually put arrow down for tummy time when I need to get something done around the house that is hard to do while holding her. Then I'm on the clock for how long she will tolerate it. Haha but then sometimes she doesn't even try and just falls asleep there.
