Soooo. I am gaining weight at a ridiculous speed. I started the pregnancy off at a normal weight for my body type (132lbs) but have been rapidly gaining since. I am already near the max of what you should gain in the first trimester and I still have almost 4 weeks to go. Is any one else struggling with this?
It's really important to me that I don't let myself go. I haven't been working out as much as I should, and maybe I have been eating more but it hasn't been a large amount over what I normally eat and I have actually been making healthier choices. Also, I am painfully hungry ALL the time, so it's really hard not to eat.
What is everyone else doing to stay on the weight gain track?
I am the same way. At my first appt I was 119... A few weeks later, 126! I have been starvvvving and eating lots but have been trying to keep up on my workouts to balance a little. I'm already showing quite a bit considering I'm only about 10-10.5 weeks. I just figure the baby must really be growing and that's why I have been so terribly hungry.
I think as long as you are making as healthy of choices as you can, it is what it is. Your body knows what it's doing!
I'm up 4lbs already. I've got to stop eating junk food and giving in any craving that I have. I just went for a run now to make me feel better. I want to keep my weight gain under control - I gained nearly 50 lbs during my first pregnancy.
While I was nauseated all the time (for a few weeks) I was really packing on weight because the only thing that made me feel even slightly better was to eat (and usually not the healthiest stuff.)
Now that I don't feel sick all the time, I'm trying to eat much healthier. And I actually lost a little weight this week. My doctor told me 5-7 pounds a month with twins is healthy, so I'm trying to focus on not exceeding that and just eating healthier. Also hoping that the tiredness will soon wane a little bit and I'll feel more like getting more exercise!
I don't think you should stress out too much. I've already gained almost 10 pounds so far--I am just hungry all the time so I eat. My OB told me to gain at least 40 (I've gained 40 pounds in both previous pregnancies), so I figure I'm on track anyways. It doesn't make it easier, but try to just remember you'll have lots of time to lose it after the baby comes.

I really appreciate all the responses. It's nice to hear what's going on with everyone else weight-wise. I am going to try and be a bit more active and continue to eat as healthy as I can. I have never been one to deny myself cravings though!
