My sister was so sweet today and gave me an awesome pedicure and rubbed my feet and calves/shins. I told her to avoid the ankles but now I am freaking out cause I of course googled it and got lots of mixed results including arch massage and foot massage being linked to miscarriage. It was so relaxing and felt so nice. Tell me I'm undoing all the good of the rub down and not to worry.

Don't stress! If it felt good, then she did it wrong for contractions. There is a spot on the inside of the leg a few inches above the bone that sticks out. It is painful while pg if you press on it. Its the acupressure spot to stimulate labor. It is supposed to work, but never has for me. I even had an acupuncturist hook up electric currents and I still didn't go into labor! I was 39 weeks then. Just enjoy the experience! Foot rubs won't cause any problems! Pg woman would revolt in droves if they were told they couldn't get them!

Lol you definitely are prohibited from using google the rest of your pregnancy. You are going to work yourself in to a frenzy. Between this and the pepperoni and I think something else from google is making you worry for nothing. I would ask your doctor for a list of things to avoid and just follow that.

Towards the end of both my pregnancies I had pedicures and asked the lady to purposefully rub my feet ankles hard and it didn't do anything for me either! But man it sure feels great to have your feet rubbed!

Stay off google! I've never heard of that causing a miscarriage. Don't worry, stress is way more of a harm to your baby than a foot rub. Just relax the best you can!

LoL I am a worry wart to begin with! I am so afraid of doing something wrong. I'm screwed when the baby gets here I don't think my dr has a list although I did put a call into her. I was ballsy and went ahead and used some essential oil on my feet and it felt good

Thanks ladies

Towards the end, you won't even be able to bend down to paint your toes. Get used to the pedicures now!

I went and got a foot massage when I was 40 weeks last time trying to get the darn baby out... They rubbed and pushed on the specific pressure points..... Didn't do diddly. You're fine
