"The crazy thing is that everyone thinks that they are the only one with broken boob holes, when in reality, no one knows what they are doing and it’s not natural. You need support and help to get the milk hole to work right."
THIS. I had such a hard time with breastfeeding, and then the stress of going back to work and trying to pump in a grotty little supply closet with people walking in on me, etc...I ended up giving up after 4 months. For some reason, I thought that breastfeeding was supposed to come naturally to me, and because it didn't, it must mean that I was a bad mom or something. I was too embarrassed to ask my midwife or my mom or anyone for help. I've since learned that it DOESN'T always come natural and it IS hard! I've already told my midwife ahead of time that it was really hard for me and I'm going to need help this time around. She was totally understanding and nice about it.
If breastfeeding is important to you, don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it!
