Not me, but people keep making jokes that our little princess isn't DFs, because DF is half black, half native american, and she looks way too white. He signed all the legal paperwork, and doesn't doubt a thing, but all these jokes from other people are really starting to get to me. Everyone seems to think she looks exactly like me. She is only one week, so who knows what she is going to look like in the next few months!!!

I am hormonal, and I know that they are just joking, but it makes me wonder what people think about me. I mean, do they really think that I would deceive DF like that? or stray in the first place?!?!

So sorry you are dealing with those "jokes". Not funny at all. What the heck is wrong with people?

People need to keep their freaking off color comments to themselves. I would just stare at them with a "really? You just really said that?" I can't stand ignorant people!

You have to call out ignorant people like that so that they know that they are being dildos. I am native american and african american as well and Darion has his father's complexion. Not mine. That's just the way genes work. I don't have to deal with any comments but most people who know me would know to keep that crap inside or pay.. *lol* I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.. its so silly.

But you have to educate them and tell them how stupid they are being so that they will know for next time... Teach those people some class lady!!!!!

*HUG* Most of all, don't let it get you down.. You know the truth and that beautiful baby has the best of both worlds. Be proud of that and teach that pride to your child. Let NO ONE shake that. Ever.

Not funny at all. And I can see how especially irritated & sensitive it would make you if you heard it more than once. Speak up & let them know those comments are rude & uncalled for.
~Thank you AlexAiden Mommy for this beautiful siggy~

So sorry! Definitely speak up--people need to know that they're being inappropriate and hurting feelings. Hugs to you, hon!

Oh girl, people are so rude. It's the opposite for me. My DH is white and I'm black. The kids, for the most part, look white. I had people all the time suggesting that it wasn't my baby, that I was the nanny. It was a little amusing at first but then it started to get to me. The worst was me crying in the walmart parking lot after someone asked me if my 6 month old was adopted.

I'm used to it now and facially they look like me more, so people don't question as much. But it is painful, especially when you have that new baby.
