I'm 38w2d today. My last ob appt on Tuesday I was very soft, 50% effaced and almost dilated to a 1. My ob Dr said she would scrape my membranes at my appt tomorrow to help things along. I've never had this done before. Pros or cons? I have a choice about it but just wondering about your exoeriences with it. My other babies were born in week 38 so I may not need it.

Thanks in advance for you input!

I haven't had it done--both times I went into labor spontaneously before their due dates. I would probably not choose to do it, but plenty of people do, so I'm sure others can share their experiences.
