Nate has a fever of 101 and a crazy runny nose. How the heck do I keep him away from her enough so she doesn't get sick???? Ugh, why does he have to be sick now??

We had that same problem when Evy was first born. It was both of the other kids and dh. We had to keep the kids away and that was so hard because they adore their sister.

Ugh. That is not fun. Good luck keeping him away. I know it wouldn't fly in this house. I hope your son is feeling better ASAP and she stays well!

Keeping him away is proving impossible. He is so in love and doesn't understand that he is sick and could make the baby sick. He wants to touch her head and hands and help with diapers and burping etc. and he just doesn't get it. It's hard because I don't want to keep telling him no and drive him away from his sister. UGH!

We've had to be careful here, too. Charlie started coughing the day Samuel was born. He hasn't had a fever or runny nose, though, thank goodness. We have just done lots of hand sanitizer and hand washing, and when the cough was at its worst we had Charlie wear a mask over his mouth and nose.
