So, in the last couple weeks I have stopped hiding my bitterness about not getting a shower. So yesterday I get a text fromy sister saying to pick a day for her to throw me a shower . It was not an I will happily throw you a shower text. It was a pick a day and I will do this to shut you up text asking for a list and addresses. I am not comfortable inviting people to something that clearly no one wanted to throw me so I will be giving her very few names. It sucks because I desperately need a shower but not like this. I'm seriously embarrassed . Plus it is so late, I can't really wait and see what I might get. I feel like I'm always helping people, planning things, etc and if someone does something for me they make me feel terrible. Seriously, I gave my sister $500 Thursday to keep her electric on. I need that money right now but I couldn't let her electricgo off. I know I sound whiny but I'm frustrated.

I've never had one and I'm on my 4th pg. I almost got a pity shower this time but I backed out of it. And yea, I feel exactly as you do about it. I have gone to so many of them and have been so exited for others but it seemed like a hassle for others when it came to me so I was all like.. psssh, never mind but I also did that bc like maybe 3 ppl would have come so it seemed silly.
Ugh, I know how you feel. I know that I only had Alex 2 years ago but we've had things break down or just made do without with him that I would like to have for this one. My Mom keeps asking rude questions about why the nursery isn't ready and people keep asking me when I'm going to get some girl clothes just in case but nobody has really asked (nicely) if there is anything they can get for the baby that we need. I would really love a baby monitor that will reach into the basement floor of our house (we live in a tri-level). I need a mattress for the crib but that can wait some because for at least the first two months the baby will sleep in the pack n' play in our room. I need a bouncer and maybe a swing. The bouncer more than the swing. I would love a clipped baby carrier for when the baby gets bigger/heavier. *sigh*
I haven't said a thing because I know people will wonder "why?" Meh.
