I've kept some keepsakes for DD. DH got the local newspaper from the day she was born and he framed it. I also kept the hat and shirt and socks the hospital put her in and once she outgrew her womb sounds bear I dressed the bear in them. DH also did plaster casts of her hand and foot when she was three days old. And we put some of her first outfits in a bag for her...like her coming home outfit. Her first Xmas outfit. Her first Easter outfit and so on. And her baby book is full of stuff too like the bow the hospital put in her hair and I even taped her cord stump in there when it fell off. She will get that all when she's grown. Probably will give them all to her once she has a baby of her own. I will do the same thing for lil man and DH will also do the hand and foot casts and newspaper thing.
I have a lot of stuff to give Joce Bear when she is grown up. Because she was soooo premature, I saved several of her itty bitty tiny diapers and BP cuffs and hats and basically everything I could. I also have my favorite preemie outfit she wore and LOTS of pictures.
I didn't do so well saving stuff for Gabe. I think I have his first pair of shoes and some pictures. But that is about it. Poor Gabe, he is going to be a middle child like I was--they always get the short end of the stick,
I am going to try and do better for Grayson. I would like to save the newspaper and his shoes and things also for his box.
