DH and I STILL have not chosen a first name for our girl. I'm really hoping we have something picked out before I go into labor. We like to use family names as middle names, and we've chosen "Fay" after DH's grandmother...now we just need a first name. What do you think of these?
We typically like traditional names, but don't want anything super popular. Here are some others we've tossed around:
Honestly, there are no real frontrunners here, so feel free to add any other suggestions. I never thought I'd be so close to delivering with no name picked out!
Arya would be pronounced just as it's spelled. I did get the name from A Song of Ice and Fire, and I did consider that since the HBO series came out, the name might become popular. Although, I don't think it will become too popular. I think I've leaned away from Hannah for that reason, too.
Emery was actually one of my husband's suggestions, and I do like it. Although, it just seems like a name that would be shortened into a nickname. (Em? Emmy?)
I like the name Annika. Although, I can see people just calling her Ann.
Thanks so much for the input, ladies. Maybe we'll just go to the hospital with a short list and then "see" what suits her after she gets here. I think Emery and Arya are our top two right now. Of course, who knows what new names might present themselves before baby comes. lol.
