I love this carrier:

The ERGObaby® Petunia Pickle Bottom Baby Carrier - Heavenly Holland*-*buybuy BABY

And that's the cheapest I've found it.... But if I have a boy do I need to do boy colors? I know it's girls, but because I like girls things. So do I pick the pattern I prefer or pick one that could be neutral?

I say no, you don't have to do boy colors for a carrier if it's a boy, however, it would start to annoy me having to correct strangers who might say "oh, how old is your cute little baby girl?" * I like the carrier, very pretty

That's adorable!

I'd wear a boy in that. The only reason I go gn with my carriers is because DH wears the baby too.

Go with what you like. You're wearing it, too. Nothing wrong with it having flowers.

So cute! I would put a boy in it - if you want to not correct people maybe get a blue hat?
Excuse me if my typing is bad There's probably a baby in my arms.

I am of the belief that you're the one wearing it, not the baby .. so you should like it

I think it is pretty. I always choose a plain colored one so that it matches everything I wear though, lol.
Shoot, if that is the one you want, go for it.

My thoughts about buying baby stuff:

Your infant will not know/care what its stuff looks like. But you're going to be pushing a big *** stroller around, wearing an Ergo, holding a diaper bag - they might as well not be butt ugly!! I am not buying any baby accessories that don't look good on me and DH (thinking solid unisex diaper small bag, and I'll throw it in my girly tote if I want), solid fabric stroller, high chair that looks good in my house (no pastel swirly patterns for me!) .. etc. Plus I think it's easier to treat solid fabrics - nothing looks worse than a baby fabric with a big stain on it, haha. If I see a smudge on a black canvas bag, I think, oh maybe it was put on the ground and not, POOP!!

I think it should be what you like, and not what the baby's gender is. Anyway, why can't a boy like tulips? My boy loves tulips, he would like that pattern! But I agree that the carrier and the diaper bag are for you. Your diaper bag replaces your purse, and the carrier replaces the front of your clothes! It should be a pattern you like.

I did get a neutral solid for many of my carriers. I have a few feminine ones that my hubby won't use, but he'll use the maroon ergo and the brown mei tei. My aunt bought us a pink diaper bag when our daughter was born, and she saw some pictures of my husband carrying the bag on our vacation that year. She felt bad for him so this time she got us a black and white patterned bag. I'm looking at this ergo that they sell at Target. My mom said it's boyish, but I don't think so, I think it's pretty neutral. I really love the stars on it! It would be totally frivolous, because we already have an ergo though LOL!

I have a neutral baby bjorn because dh loves to carry our babies. He usually gets approached by men asking where to get it because they want one

I say get what you want and if you like the print. Doesn't matter baby gender IMHO.

Thanks for the advice!! I probably should get a gender neutral one for DH.....but he's pretty manly, he could pull it off!

I do like the galaxy gray one a lot too!

Ok, I'm going to be the odd man out here , but with my boy (and for my next boy), I always buy things that look like they are for a boy. Regardless of if I'm wearing it (a wrap, a diaper bag/back pack, etc) or if they are sitting in it. As beautiful as it is, if I saw a baby in that, I would automatically think it was a girl. I don't know if anybody else would or if that's just me, sorry!
