Last year when I was running a marathon, an old guy passed me, and the back of his shirt said "I'm old, overweight, diabetic, and out of shape. I just passed you!" Then at the very bottom it said (If I can do it, so can you!) This shirt honest to goodness made me laugh really hard, and inspired me to just keep following him and keep going even though I wanted to stop. So I've been thinking about shirts for my upcoming running event. I've read that it's a good idea to wear a shirt that says your pregnant, not only to get the cheers and crowd motivating you but also in case something happens like if you collapse, they know you are pregnant. I was thinking about this guy's shirt and wondering if it would be funny or kind of rude to make one about being pregnant. Kind of like "I'm pregnant: swollen ankles, morning sickness, heartburn, and changed center of balance." Then maybe to be nice I'd skip the part about "and I just passed you" because that might be mean, and just put "If I can do it, so can you" at the bottom? Do you think that would be funny or snobby if you saw someone running with that shirt?

I am not even sure if I could order a shirt at this point, my event is on the 19th! May sure did sneak up on me.

Thank You, Pattyandthemoos, for my beautiful siggy!

Good for you! I feel like I'm too jiggly to run (I walk or go on the elliptical), and I just feel silly. I love the shirt idea! And if it were me I'd skip the "and I just passed you" bit but I think it's a great idea either way. Hey, if you can pass some runners while pregnant, why not wear a shirt that says it? I just don't have the Huevos to wear it.
