So yesterday on the way to our Mother's Day dinner my teenage daughter wanted to sit in the front seat so I sat in the way back (we have a mini van), so I was sitting in the car watching and smiling at Sophia. There were times were her head did not seem supported. She even fell asleep for a few minutes and her head was hanging forward. Her seat came with a support pillow but it obviously isn't enough. I think this is kind of young cause I remember with my other 2 their head didn't start to hang forward until toddler years cause the infant car seat come with that pillow. I was just on BRU's website and they sell a few things but they didn't seem that much different then what her car seat already has.
Was just wondering if anyone else's LO's head seems this way too and if so, what product are you using or would you recommend to purchase. I need to do something right away. Thanks!!
Here is a pic of her in her car seat and here is the link for her car seat if that helps out all.
Julius has the same problem when he sleeps, but we don't have anything to help support his head, the only thing we had with the carseat was the newborn insert and that was too small from the get go, and since there wasn't anything else that came with the seat I figured it was ok.
I honestly think this varies from child to child. I remember my first daughter used to hang her head like this whole sleeping in her car seat and her swing.
Lucy really never does this. All I had in her caraway was the infant insert, buying took it out once her head was getting too big to fit in it.
When we left the nice, they told us the only head supports that were safe to use were the ones that came with the carseat. Plus you can use rolled up towels/blankets next to their body but not their head.
Josh's head bobbled around a lot in the car, so I did a ghetto fix by rolling up two of the hospital's receiving blankets and put it behind both sides of the infant insert and it seemed to work like magic... let me see if I can find a pic for you ...
Thank you *Kiliki* for the awesome siggy
