I was just thinking about how during the first trimester I was so terrified to look at the toilet paper and see blood, and now I'm excitedly watching for it because it means progress towards labor. In the first trimester I was scared by any cramping - now I'm eagerly anticipating those first labor discomforts because it means my little girl is on her way. Just funny how the things that so scared me at first are now things I want to happen!
I'm right there with you, I keep checking panty liner and inside toilet as well. I didn't lose my mucus plug with DS or if I did it wasn't bloody but maybe this time I will so I keep checking lol I wanna get to full term so I can wait another week so after that, its on! I'll be on labor watch for real lol
My Dr swears up and down the mucus plug is a myth....she never saw it with her 2 kids and has never seen it in a patient. Also with my first I was induced but never did have discolored discharge towards the end and he was born on his due date.
Haha. This crosses my mind almost daily now. How it used to paralyze me to look at the tp or get a cramp in the first trimester and now when I wake up in the middle of the night with cramps I'm hoping that they come back 5 minutes after they ease off. And now I look at the tp and since there's nothing on it I get all disappointed.
I had a foley balloon with DS and after one trip to the the potty, BAM, there it was...blood show and all. Blech...totally gross! I also remember thinking it was so weird to see blood again...kinda surreal.
