Lurking from September, but my Sept '09 baby had SUA (Single umbilical artery), a bit different than what your son has been diagnosed with, but also starting at 30 weeks, I went in for a NST and u/s twice a week. There was a ton of "potential" complications, and I was induced at 39 weeks, but he was perfectly fine, and almost 8 lbs! I will keep your LO in my thoughts and prayers. I decreased my activity the remainder of my pregnancy, not because the docs told me to, I just felt that was something I could do to possibly help. Good luck! I'll be stalking you
So sorry you have to go through all of this -- I can't imagine how scary it must be! Keeping you and baby Blake in my thoughts and prayers and sending you lots of positive vibes! Stay strong! It sounds like the doctors will be monitoring you very closely which is good. KUP and big hugs!
Thank you EVERYONE for your responses! You all are the best. I talked to my doctor this morning. The scarriest thing she said was how rare this was and she hadn't dealt with it in a "long time", when she has been practicing for 25+years. I hope that once I start to see a specialist, I will gain more information frmo someone who DOES deal with this issue periodically and can give me some peace of mind. I will keep you updated. He's rockin' and rollin' in there today so things must be pleasant for him. I am trying to take it one day and a time and not think worst case scenario. I'm a teacher so I am out of school for the summer (and hopefully until January with Blake) starting Thursday!
I cannot imagine your anxiety and I will pray for calmness for you and baby. Thanks for sharing the picture, he is adorable. Hopefully, you can relax as you begin summer vacation and baby boy keeps going strong!
He's adorable! Let us know how it goes with the specialist. I bet he/she will make you feel a bit better because they probably have more experience with this particular situation. I'm glad he's moving a lot for you today
Thanks so much *Kiliki* for my awesome summer siggie!
