But my needle phobia is hitting me pretty badly. Ever since I was little, its been a problem and I am super nervous and scared about the IV needle and the epidural needle (scheduled c/s) and I know this seems really really silly to the rest of you, but it is a very serious phobia of mine. I'm cool with being cut open and having a human being removed from me. Its the needles I'm not cool with!

As the days tick closer to needle day, I get more and more freaked out.

What is worse, is that I know my fear is 1000x worse than actually getting the needle.

Last time with Sebastian they gave me "calm down" drugs after they pulled him out of me. I really need the calm down drugs before they give me the needle.

I'm a giant baby.

I am too! I hate needles and avoid them if at all possible. That is part of my reasoning for wanting to try and do it without an epidural. I just have to keep reminding myself that this baby has to come out one way or another and it will all be worth it in the end.

My sister flipped out going into her 2nd c-section and they gave her the calm down drugs before. Can you talk to your doc about the needle phobia and maybe go into it knowing you need something before hand?

I hope they're able to give you something to help you stay calm beforehand. It's silly to wait until after. And you're not alone, tons of people have serious needle phobias and it does NOT make you a wimp!
