How long are you taking for maternity leave?

I don't go back to work until July 19th but I can't stop thinking that my leave will be half over on Friday. I'm trying so hard not to do a countdown but it's going by so quickly. I had a long list of things I wanted to accomplish while I'm home and have barely scratched the surface.

Does anyone else feel like their leave is flying by?

I do. It was making me soooo anxious because I can't imagine leaving Wyatt with a babysitter when he has so many issues with his acid reflux. Nobody is going to take the time and patience and love to deal with that like I would. SOOOOOO... I'm quitting my job!! ( haven't told work yet though) I'll wait till 2 weeks before my leave is up. We will struggle, but I don't care- I'll go back to work maybe after a year when he has grown out of this. :/

Kurly, that's so sweet that you will be able to quit your job so you can be home with your little one. I think that it's always ideal when Mom can be home with the baby. I know not everyone has the ability to do that. But it's cool when it works out.

I go back in mid-October. I'm taking 12 weeks, but it doesn't start until August.

I started back Saturday!! Luckily my job is just on call so I haven't had to actually go in yet. When I do it's only 3-5 hours at a time roughly so it's still not a whole day and my mom keeps Avery. My original plan was to be off the whole summer but when I had to take off 6 weeks early with the preeclampsia it made me have to go back sooner. It sucks, and I hate having to leave her. I did have to go to court for work before my maternity leave was up so I got a hint of how it's gonna be though.
