Hi Ladies. My name is Randi and I was just diagnosed with a low lying partial placenta praevia. I am 8 weeks and have had mild brown spotting.

I was wondering if anyone here has had this? Did you bleed or spot? Did your placenta move? If so, when did you find out that it moved and did you bleed after it moved?

My doctor said that it will resolve itself in about 90% of cases and not to worry, but of course I worried!

Thank you in advance!

I had this with my son and was worried since I was trying for a VBAC. The placenta did end up moving and I was able to have my VBAC. Just follow their pelvic rest orders and try not to worry. Oh and I had mild spotting but only once after not following the pelvic rest. Good luck!

Oops I forgot...it moved by my 20 week ultrasound. I had no spotting after it moved.

I have had this with every one of my pregnancies including this one, so 4 in all. They all ended up moving (we'll see about this pregnancy later on). I only spotted with my second pregnancy and it was just once, brown spotting.

Thank you sooooo much! I was so scared and one of the ladies in my DDC said why don't you go ask the other DDC's. You have been so helpful! My issues started after DH and I DTD, so hopefully the pelvic rest (Doc said 1 week) will be all we need.

It is so comforting to hear from others who have had it move, because if you're a fool (like me) and google it, you get nothing but negative!

Thanks again!
