Don't Judge Me: Why Moms Should Support Each Other

You will hear this line of thought from me probably a million times in the next 7 months (and hopefully a while after that) as we navigate the various controversial issues and discuss a myriad of choices during our pregnancy, birth, and child raising.

I have been hurt by people close to me, who have judged the decisions I've made for birth and breastfeeding, without any clue how much I've struggled with so many of the choices and been forced into some without any choice at all.

Let's lift each other up. We're hard enough on ourselves as it is. No matter what anyone else thinks, I'm 100% sure that I'm harder on myself about my shortcomings than anyone else can be.

I support your decisions 100%, regardless of whether or not I believe in it or even whether or not I would choose it for myself. Just as I don't want anyone judging me, I try to do my very best to keep my judgement to a minimum and definitely to myself.
Wife to sweet husband Jeff and mother to 2 beautiful girls: Emily (2) and Jocelyn (1).

More people fail from a lack of encouragement than anything else!~ Mrs. James Hendry

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

Perfect!! So true... Its crazy how mothers are always trying to put other mother's down, just because they don't make the same decisions or do things the same way...

Absolutely! Dare I say when a mother looks down upon another because she does/doesn't do something a certain way could it be that deep down it's her own insecurities showing? We should all be confident that no we're not perfect mama's, but we're doing the VERY BEST every day for our babies and we need to let go of our own guilt trips and rest in the knowledge that no one could love our children the way we are.
