So far Sammy has slept in the bed with me. He really doesn't seem to like the flat surfaces. Even in the hospital he would only stay asleep for twenty minutes at best before wanting to be cuddled. He naps really well in his rock n play though, so I'm thinking I'll pack up the pack and play until he's older and put the rock n play next to my bed for when I am wanting my own space. Honestly, if it means I get some quality sleep and he gets some quality sleep and everyone in the house gets to sleep, I am totally down with snuggling up next to him every night. My second was like this too, he still occasionally crawls into bed with us, maybe a couple times a week, but mostly he sleeps in his own bed, or in bed with his big brother.

We co-sleep belly to belly right now. It works great for nighttime feedings and she seems to sleep really well.

Some of the time he sleeps in the bassinet next to my bed, but most of the time he is in bed snuggled up to me. He sleeps a little more that way, plus he's so sweet to cuddle with.

Henry will sleep a few 2-3 hour stretches in his swing if he's swaddled. Otherwise he sleeps in my arms but since I can't yet nurse side-lying (it really bothers my incision) I can't nurse him lying down. I'm not a big fan of sleeping sitting up but it happens if he's fussy. I haven't even tried to put him in his crib or bassinet yet because I know how frustrating it is at first. DD ended up sleeping in the swing for 10 weeks or so and then moved to her crib without much problem. We just do whatever works.

I don't care much for bassinets or Moses baskets, so we always kept the crib in our room in the beginning, but gradually moved them into the nursery.

We're going to attempt a similar route this time around. I bought a conversion crib for the baby so it won't be as easy to move back and fourth this time, but I'm very happy we wont have to pay for a new bed for the first few years.
