I have dealt with sciatica before, and know what that feels like, but this is a wee bit different. I am having pain in the middle of my butt cheek (sorry TMI) that is excruciating when I have to get up from sitting or laying down to standing. It is not radiating down my leg, though. Is this sciatica? Today at the office, every time I have to get up out of my chair to go do something I am in extreme pain almost to the point of tears. I can't take time off as I am preparing for trial that starts on Monday and will go until July 2nd.

I am not sure if it is even worth a call to the doctor since I imagine they will just say to take Tylenol and suck it up. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to get some relief?

I don't know what it is but I had that for about a week and it was sooooo bad. It was right where you said - through my butt cheek but I couldn't get up or sit down. It eventually went away on its own so I chalked it up to baby sitting on a nerve.

Definitely sounds like baby has sat on one of your nerves. Id think maybe rubbing the offending spot and stretching alot might help.
