I'm gonna wait a few more weeks, but I know that towards middle-end of summer I'm not gonna be able to stand it and I'll have to get it done. I'll prob do an out of the box hair color though.

As long as you are in a well ventilated area, and you know your not allergic, go for it.

I had mine dyed @ 11 weeks (got married that week lol) and have an appt to get it done again at 18 weeks...

My cousin is a Hairdresser and she is 12 weeks pregnant right now. She said the only precautions would be to make sure you have no open wounds on your scalp and to make sure the stylist is doing it in a well ventilated area. She refuses to put me under the blow dryer chair thing bc the smell surrounds you, but other than that I do everything like normal!

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

I did with my first, did not with my second, and with my 3rd pregnancy I did, and two days later I had a miscarriage at 11w. I know rationally that they are not connected at all but it's scared me off from coloring my hair while pregnant. You should be safe, but if it concerns you look for something more natural and with less harsh chemicals, and do it in a well-ventilated area.

I didn't will my first, did with my second at the end of 2nd trimester, not sure if I will this time, although it needs it BAAAAD. Haven't had it done since the end of Dec. Was going to do it the month I found out I was preggo. You should be fine as long as its in a well ventilated area

I did at various times with all my pregnancies (except this one so far, no plans to as of yet).

But I have known hairdressers who did people's hair while pregnant and had no problems. And they have much more exposure.

It's one of those things where, it was bad in the 60s and 70s, and though dyes have improved enormously since, the advice of society hasn't caught up.

I asked my doctor about this and she told me that there is no research to show if it's safe or dangerous, so she said go ahead. I've just been doing highlights, which don't touch the scalp, so there's no risk of chemicals penetration. But definitely make sure you're in a ventilated area.

I need to get me some highlights now that we are talking about this.... first i need some money lol. I normally dye my hair, but i am allergic to dye (Don't ask why i still dye lol) and I abstain from dying while pregnant. Highlights are easy since its no color and it doesn't touch my scalp.

I'm about to dye mine. If I remember correctly they say to wait until the 2nd trimester but besides that, you're good
