My case isn't real bad and was told it should move by the time I reach 20 weeks. I should have let it go at that and yet again I let the google monster get ahold of me. I know I C-section isn't the end of the world, but would like to avoid if at all possible! Also some scary stories of giving birth and bleeding out has got me nervous. I already had PPH without the previa last time. I am gonna try and be relaxed until my next U/S.

So in your experience, did it move for you?

Also the pelvic rest thing is killing me already because my drive has just recently picked up,lol. And my dh is a bummed....

My sister had it. It moved up by 20 weeks and never became a problem. I hope that is the case for you too!

I have 2 close friends who had it. One bled A LOT and had pelvic rest for the first trimester at least, maybe more. The 2nd didn't bleed. Both moved on their own with plenty of time, both had vaginal deliveries.

I've had it for all of my pregnancies (including this one). With #1 and #2 it moved by 20 weeks, with #3 it moved by 27 weeks (still present at the anatomy u/s). I suspect this one will move also. I never had any issues with it, thankfully. No bleeding or pelvic rest needed.

I had it. Moved by 20 weeks with no issues. Only had spotting once early on.

I had it with my last 2 pregnancies, and I expect to have it again with this one since chances increase everytime you have it. I hate to be "debbie downer" but I had the most scary experience with the first time I had it. I had marginal previa at 16 weeks. I had a few u/s's throughout my pregnancy to keep an eye on it. At 36 weeks, the u/s said it had finally moved a safe distance to have a vaginal birth. I went into labour and 42 weeks, and while in birthing suite, i got up to go to bathroom when I thought my water broke. I had began to hemorrhage, that was at 3:10 am and my baby was born at 3:23am with an emergency c-section.

With my last pregnancy, it too moved a safe distance but not until 30 weeks. Of course I was super nervous about having the same problem again, so my midwife reassured me that while I'm in labour, there will be an OBGYN and anesthesiologist present just in case (my midwife still did the delivery) also due to this being a VBAC. Everything went great!
My first previa, no spotting but put on pelvic rest the whole pregnancy. My last one, spotting until 2 trimester and bedrest from 4months until 8 months. I also avoided sex because I was too nervous in case it will cause problems.

Step away from "Doctor" Google. It is not your friend. lol

I don't have any experience, but I'm so glad that the girls here have so many positive stories to share with you. I hope it moves as it seems to for the vast majority of women.

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

My doula from my first baby was just diagnosed at 28 weeks with complete previa. She had lots of bleeding and will be in the hospital likely for the duration of her pregnancy. She is hoping to make it to 36 weeks and will almost definitely have to have a c section. I think if you have it mildly in the 1st or beginning of the second it is most likely to move itself, but the later and more complete it is the less likely it is to correct itself. Just take your pelvic rest seriously and hopefully it will move and everything will be fine. GL
