I mostly just close my eyes and pray. Lol. I got one of those razors that has the lotion bar things on both sides of the blades in the hopes that it would help prevent mishaps. It seems to have gone okay so far.
It's an uncomfortable process, though, so I'm not doing it as often as I should.

I just got one the other day to see if it would help anything...although this thing has some lotion bar, there's also 5 blades to go along with it so I don't know. Guess I'll give it a shot tonight and hope for the best!
I finally tried again afterwaiting way too long. Yeah that was difficult. And its patchy. And I had to go over everything too many times. Surprisingly it doesn't burn too bad. I lotioned up with arbonne lotion in hopes it would be soothing.
LOL me too! I go completely bare as well... not really for "show" but it gets reeeallly uncomfortable down there for me if i go even a couple days without "mowing the lawn", so i dont know what im going to do in the next couple months - i am already uncomfortable as it is!
Right now i have one leg propped up against my faucet for the bathtub, while im leaning to the side and against the shower wall. LOL! Thats the only way i can find to do it... i also have to lift my belly up. extremely difficult. then DH asks me why it takes me an hour to take a shower. I tell him he doesnt want to know.

This exactly! I have this obsessive thing with body hair - I hate it. And because of this I've been bare for many, many years, so when I skip a few days or don't shave right, it gets pretty uncomfortable down there.
You should see me in the shower - leg propped up, leaning against the wall, one hand trying to hold my belly to the side, then the other hand clumsily raking my most sensitive parts with a razor. I finally got a mirror and looked - all I could see was patches of stubble along with a few perfectly shaved areas - not too pretty right now...if I was any less of a chicken, I'd definitely go for a wax job.
It's a nightmare to try and keep up! I nearly fell over in the shower yesterday!
I usually wax, but my friend who does this sort of thing for a living told me that it's a no no to wax when you're close to your period because the tissues are so engorged with blood that it hurts like a ***** and causes you to bleed everywhere.
I'm not sure what your situations are, but if pre-period is a problem for that reason, then pregnancy and waxing could be very messy! Have any of you waxed/sugared while pregnant? I hate shaving and would much rather go with something that will last more than 2 days, but as much as a blade can be scary, being ripped could be a lot worse!
