My doula told me to sit straight up with my knees below my hips as often as possible and recommended a large exercise ball. I can do that for a little but but then I get a terrible pinch in my back (sciatica?) and can barely stand up. The only way that I can sit comfortably is on my couch leaning back with a bolster pillow at my lower back. My car is also pretty comfortable because I can lean the seat back. I don't think my baby has dropped yet and I would like her too but I just CANNOT sit on that ball for longer than 15 minutes.

I can only sit on the edge of a chair or on my exercise ball.

I sit with my feet up. I'm not going to sit in an uncomfy spot all day.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy!

I can't say I've found a position I can't sit in. Just business as usual I guess.

Thanks so much Claire for my awesome siggy

I found that although I feel most comfy sitting indian style legs crossed, I must not sit that way because it brings on my pelvic and hip pain reallly bad.

I try to keep my legs as close together as I can so my pelvis doesnt start aching immediately....aaahh not much longer though and this will all be over.

I don't sit. I just sprawl in different directions, depending on what soft surface I'm on.

In a regular chair, not very ladylike. I need to spread my legs to have room for my belly. In my office chair I usually slouch back a lot or cross my legs. I prefer laying back in the recliner.

I try to limit sitting in my recliner to no more than an hour or two. Its hard because it is comfortable but pushing a baby out that is posterior is pretty hard. I did that on ly first she turned at the very last few pushes but it was 24 hour long labor. Sisnce then I knew Id sit on the ball hands and knees as much as possible and open up. Because if you try to stay closed imo you will. I got to spinning babies.com it has great ideas but I guess it depends on the sciatic pain too. Maybe there is another treatment for that. Id try acupuncture or something?

On the couch I am in a semi upright/laying position with legs to the side. I'm so bad about sitting at the computer chair. I always tuck one leg up underneath. It's really quite funny to see me switching every few minutes and it's really hard to do now.
