I turned 20 weeks yesterday, and had a doctor's appt where he did some of the anatomy scan. I go in 2 weeks for a specialist detailed one.

Anyway, the doctor measures and says "400 grams! That's a very big baby!" (400 grams is about 14.1 ounces.) He is also measuring long.

I have actually still been losing weight! I lost 2 pounds between my last appointment in June and this one.

How big was your baby at 20 weeks? Am I really in for it in December?

I was never told they just told me that he was "completely average" I'm pretty sure 11oz is normal for 20 weeks, though

I had my scan at 19w4d and I was told that my son was measuring 365 grams, which equated to 13.5 ounces, and they said he had a very long femur bone! They said average for 19 weeks was 10.5 ounces and that they are generally 1 lb at 22 weeks. I think we are a little ahead of the curve!

At my 18 week scan the babies were 10 and 11oz. So....a bit bigger than average, which is like 7oz at this point. Mine are like 20-weeker size already.

Here's a cool chart with average fetal sizes and weights by week:
