This just goes to show, that no matter how many times you have been pregnant, you always learn something new! So, yesterday I was spotting bright red, but just a tiny amount on the pad (TMI). I was actually excited because I thought it meant something was happening! I got home from work (where I sit ALL day) and had a bit more, but just a few drops. I wisely talked to my JM friends on FB, asking for advice. EVERYONE said to call my OB. Honestly, the thought never crossed my mind. The bleeding was so minimal, and I'm almost 35 weeks. I called the after hours line and the doc on call YELLED at me for bleeding for 8 hours and not calling She said to get to L&D right away. So DH and I left the younger kids with DD14, and headed in. We had to wait awhile since it was shift change, but finally they got me hooked up to the monitors and found I was contracting a bit, but her heartrate was perfect. The doc did a check and I am 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. She said since the heartrate is perfect and the bleeding is so minimal, just to go on pelvic rest and no lifting until my appt next Wed, and to call back if there is any more bleeding. So ladies, red blood is something you always need to call in for, even if it's a tiny amount! I'm beginning to wonder if little Miss is going to wait until the end of Sept/early Oct after all!
