Has anyone else noticed that when it comes to babies, people are incredibly selfish??? I knew this, but it seems so much more pronounced now that it is my baby. Maybe because it pisses me off more. I don't know any adults who enjoy being woken up after five minutes of sleep (or woken up at all when they're tired) or who like to wait to eat. Why do they think these things are ok for a baby? Like hey, the baby's asleep, lets flail her limbs and touch her face and move her around so she'll wake up because we want to see her eyes open! Awesome, do I get to do that to them when they go to bed tonight? Oh the baby's hungry, let's keep holding her because it is so cute when she cries! Yes it is so cute that she's so hungry she's screaming, let's keep her from her food LONGER.

Since people can't use common sense I'm going to start being a ***** about it. I'm sick of her being miserable because nobody else can think about her needs over their own.

Thanks so much Claire for my awesome siggy

Wow, that's all unnecessary.

I have to admit, I have never come across people doing that.

Yea, people are very selfish when it comes to babies. Let's keep holding them for hours and walk around doing crap that keeps waking them up. They won't be cranky at all! :/

I've had some of those things happen before. Then I'm the one that has to deal with the overtired baby.

I almost flipped out at a cashier at the grocery store the other day. I had only a few items and saw that Marcos was starting to fuss, so I was in a rush The cashier was chit-chatting with her colleague at the next cash register while she was scanning my items. Then she became so absorbed with their conversation that for a full minute, she stood there holding my bag of peppers in her hand while she's talking to him, doing absolutely nothing while the baby is clearly getting angrier and starting to escalate his crying.

I have the utmost respect for cashiers since my husband works as one. I understand that they work long hours on their feet for very little money. I can somewhat deal with the fact that she completely ignored me as a customer so she could socialize with her coworker, even though it's rude and unprofessional. But when you see that my baby is crying, then cut the chit-chat, scan my items, and let me get out of there as quickly as possible! I shouldn't have to say it!

I know where you're coming from! Not so much about keeping her hungry but someone is always disturbing the poor girl's sleep. No wonder she was so hard to put on a normal schedule. ;/
