Is it normal for babies to stop peeing at night? Avery has only had 1 wet diaper in the last 14 hours, and it only had a one time pee. I figure it's normal and she'll catch up with wet diapers when she wakes, but doesn't hurt to ask. She had her 4 month appt this evening so if she hasn't gone still I'll ask her doc about it.

Yes. Some babies do. Just like our systems shut down poo and pee at night while we sleep, babies systems can do the same thing. As they get older, it's more common (like our babies all pooped at night when they were newborns and now it's rare). She may not every night, but it's not uncommon to have a mostly dry diaper for an evening. In addition, if they are hitting a growth spurt, they will often pee and poop less, because they use more of the nutrients and there is less waste. If she doesn't go normally today, I'd still ask the doc.

We've stopped changing Lilah in the night because she's hardly wet. She's not very wet until after her first morning feed around 6am, then she seems to do a huge pee. She hasn't pooped in the night since she was newborn.

Thank you Kiliki... for my adorable signature!

Yes! My daughter was a mystery because she NEVER EVER had a wet diaper in the middle of the night, not even when she was days old. With her we never had that problem of bed wetting when she potty trained...

koa on the other hand goes 2 times a night... *sigh* lol

Normal! Obviously she should still be peeing throughout the day, but it's totally fine (and even good) if she isn't while she sleeps.

I never change Kody at night anymore. I don't want to wake him up and he only very rarely wets through to his clothes toward morning.

I have had the same thing happen. I have wondered if my husband miraculously woke up to change our son because I couldn't believe he slept 6 hours and only had a dribble of pee considering some days I feel like I am changing a diaper every hour.
