All went well. I've finally gained...up 12lbs. now, but strangely I can still fit in my pre-pregnancy jeans (the low-cut ones at least), so it must just all be weight shifting around to different spots. BP was good, no swelling, etc. I'm measuring 30 weeks. Heartbeats were in the 140s and 150s. This time I met with the OB. I am now switching over to appointments every two weeks, with ultrasounds still every 4 weeks (for now). She will also start doing internal checks my next appointment. She considered this time, but I told her I wasn't worried yet, so she said she'd hold off. She is apparently very concerned about preterm labor and possibly having to put me on bed rest at some point. But so far all is well and there's no reason to be worried. She said that if I'm not worried, then she will try not to worry too much and noted that she feels better that I've had 2 kids at term before, so its more likely I'll avoid preterm labor. She also said she hopes they both are head down for me so my midwife can deliver me (which is my hope too!!) Pretty uneventful. I still wish I could see my midwife for all my appointments, even though the OB is nice. :/

Glad for a good appointment! Why is she so worried about preterm labor?

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"

To be honest...I don't think they see a lot of twins because the hospital they are affiliated is right down the street from Cleveland Clinic Fairview, which has the highest level NICU around...so most people opt to go there. I'd rather stick with the smaller, crunchier hospital that I love.

Yay for great appointment!
It took three years to get pregnant with my first and surprisingly I had my second 19 months after him!

wow i think its crazy they want to do internals, especially because it increases the risk of infection and can stimulate things, thus increasing your chance of PTL. I would really talk to your midwife about that, especially since you don't seem like you're comfortable with that choice.

I'm glad the babies are growing though!
