Has preggo brain hit you ladies yet at a bad moment yet?

I have trouble with forgetting words when i'm talking. It's like being pregnant reduces my vocabulary. But the other day I actually went blank at work. I'm an emergency dispatcher and we were working a medical so I had EMS, Fire and officers on scene. The medics cleared the scene and I got on the radio and multiselected every station to release the emergency traffic and I couldn't get a single word out. I couldn't for the life of me remember what to say. I do this EVERYDAY and I just went blank. It took almost 20 seconds before it came back to me what to say. Thank goodness it was to end the emergency instead of begin it!!

I haven't had anything as serious as that, I am glad it was the end like you said!
BUT, I do tend to mix words up lately. Like, I was talking about a candle and called it a calculator, called paper a pineapple... Those are the 2 that stick out in my head the most!!

OH, man. That could have been awful. Thankfully, it was not in a critical moment and you could finally collect those thoughts!

I've found being on autopilot often lends more to preggobrain. I have a loss for words, sometimes, and it's usually when i'm just talking to DH, so I figure it's more work to figure out what I'm trying to say, so I often just drop what I'm saying and never finish. DH's gotten used to 1/2 awkward sentences and then nothing

Yep, I've lost a good 50% of my vocabulary. Erin laughs at me. Thankfully I never do anything critical.
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog

I just tend to lose my train of thought rather quickly. I'll start a sentence and daze off into space and completely forget that I was talking. It's very strange!

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"
