Just curious to see where everyone's at regarding starting solid foods. Do you plan on waiting until 6 months? Later? Have you already started?
Thankfully our ped and I are on the same page about waiting until close to 6 months to start even cereal. He said that if Morgan starts acting hungry even after nursing that it may be time to introduce a little cereal, but I am putting that off as long as possible. I'm thinking that we'll start cereal about a week before her 6 month check up so that we can discuss any issues or concerns at her appointment.
I'm planning on doing baby-led weaning, and I more than likely won't start until Arthur is 6 months. I'm more than likely going to skip cereal all together. I've already started reading about BLW and looking up foods and recipes. And the fun part is he'll be 6 months by Thanksgiving! So he might get to enjoy a few Thanksgiving foods
I'm waiting till at least 6 months old but I plan to make all his baby food including all purees. I'm to nervous about tiny pieces till he has some teeth and both girls didnt get their first tooth till close to a year old.
I'm waiting until 6 months. EBF has spoiled me to be lazy not having to prepare anything. And I'm loving not having that high chair out yet. I never gave my 1st son infant cereal. I went right to regular oatmeal and he loved it, so I'll do the same this time. I'll puree my own f/v for him after 6 months too.
When he starts grabbing the food off our plates and trying to eat it, we'll start we will do BLW again, it worked wonderfully for M. Lots of messes to clean but she is a fantastic eater for a toddler and very good with table manners (for a 2 year old haha)
We are going to start cereal soon. She has regressed from sleeping through the night and wakes up starving and then drinks so fast its like shes drowning herself.
I know, it is not popular, but both my boys started cereal around 4 months and they are both big strong healthy boys. So fussy butt can get some cereal since shes just days away from the 4 month mark and hopefully we can go back to being a peaceful household.
