Ouch. I got a cracked nipple. It hurts while breastfeeding and nearly unbearable with the pump. I need to pumo while as work so as not to get engorged. Using Lanolin. Any other suggestions. I am thinking of meeting my Mom somewhere tomorrow in order to reduce the number of pumps on that side.

Ouch! Try expressing a little breastmilk to put on it and let it air dry as much as you can. I had cracks in the beginning and I wanted to cry every time I fed him. I just had to suffer through it. I used coconut oil a lot and the breastmilk & air drying and those gel soothing pads. Not sure which helped the most. Hope they heal fast for y'all!

How often do you pump? If you're pumping 2-3 hours I'd recommend block pumping until it is healed.

Don't do anything that will dry your skin. So, no hot showers and try not to sweat. However, DO put lanolin on it and let it air dry and leave it hanging out. That will help a lot because even your bra will irritate the crack.

I had one that cracked and bleed with Hailey. I powered through it, kept it lathered with lanolin and put breast milk on it and let it air dry. Took about a week but it finally cleared up.

Oddly enough I am finding that pumping is more irritating than nursing. Good thing the weekend is coming up so I won't have to pump.

Oh pumping is so much more than nursing with a cracked nipple! It's because a baby's mouth is warm and moisturized whereas a pump is...well...not.
