Thought Ellianna was over the reflux. I took her off the meds about 5-6 days ago as the doc said kids generally get better between 4 and 6 month. I was all excited as she was not vomitting. Well, I did the wrong thing. She sounds all nasally and now has a hoarse voice again when she cries. That means she still has the reflux and by taking her off the meds I left the acid burn her vocal cords again. She is back on the meds and we are not trying to wean again for atleast another 2 months. The doc said the only way to know if she is better is to stop the meds. I just hate that she feels pain when we do this check. Needless to say she is getting extra cuddles so that she does not need to cry with that hoarse little voice that breaks my heart.
Aww. Poor thing! You and her! Hoarse baby cries are the saddest! Porter was hoarse after he got circumcised in the hospital. It broke my heart! I hope that she feels better back on the meds and that next time she will be ready to go off of them!
