I meant to post this the other day. On Tuesday, my oldest, Lily, was in a charity fashion show with several other kids and adults. I hadn't pumped any bottles, so DH brought Henry and kept him backstage. Part of the way through, I went back to the makeshift dressing room to nurse him. The people in the show had to pass by me to change their outfits. I got so many good comments. One older woman said that I was doing such a good thing for my baby. Another woman walked by said "Oh I loved nursing!" A few others said "Aww! I remember those days!" It was so nice to get such a good response to public breastfeeding.

That's awesome! So many people make such a big deal out of it these days. It's kind of ridiculous!

That really is wonderful. Took the entire family to the mall yesterday. I went to the Starbucks in Barnes and Noble to nurse. I generally wear a tank top with an open front sweater (or carnigan) so I can pull the sweater to the side and just adjust the tank. That with a blanket keeps me covered. No stares or comments yesterday - although sometimes I get looks. Though now I just don't care. I think some parents don't want their kids to see someone nursing. I think though kids just don't care if the response simply is - she is feeding her baby.
