I donated 38 bags of milk to a girl yesterday for her 4 week old son. Last night, either DH or I accidentally left our deep freezer cracked open.....all night long. At least half of my 1700 oz stash is gone - totally thawed. Guess I won't be stopping pumping anytime soon, nor will I be donating more milk (I could have given her a whole bunch more as I kept freezing). I just started bawling when DH told me about it....then I had to make him go through the milk and get rid of all the thawed ones, I couldn't even look. That was a LOT of hard work down the drain. I guess no good deed goes left unpunished.

Thank you Kiliki... for my adorable signature!

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry. I hate that previously frozen milk only lasts 24 hrs once thawed.
Expecting #3 in January 2016!

That's heartbreaking I once lost just 200oz in a power outage. But I can't imagine losing that much! So sorry!

That would be absolutely devastating! I'm so sorry for your loss! It really is the only thing that money can't replace in your freezer!
