Our tradition was going to my in laws and then to my parents. My MIL passed away 8 years ago and we would all go to my FIL and just take all the food (my DH is one of 7). This August my FIL passed away, but the family still wants to have one last T-day there. Then off to my parents house. (I just broke the news though that if Ellianna is napping, I will not wake her up to go to the in-laws. DH can take the boys and I will stay home with Ellianna).

I plan to make pecan pies and cranberry/orange relish. I can make it the day before. That way if Ellianna has a day when she is a handful, I am not trying to make something hot at a certain time. I will probably also take wine

We are hosting Thanksgiving at our house. We will have 18 people and Henry. Luckily it's sort of pot luck so I don't have to cook it all. I always do cheesy potato casserole, sweet potato casserole (a small one because only a few eat it), and a pie. I think I will also do mashed potatoes that are dairy free so I can have something I can eat besides just turkey.

It's going to be just us, but that's still a crowd!

I do a traditional turkey dinner with stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, roasted brussels sprouts, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, and desserts. I make everything from scratch- even using homemade sauce and stock instead of canned soups- so I'm planning to start prep tomorrow.
