Now that Owen is eating 3 meals a day, he seems to take less pumped milk at daycare and generally nurses maybe 2 or so sessions fewer than before solids. Those who are still EBFing, how often in a 24 hour period are you nursing and for how long?
Lilah is just starting solid food, and still doesn't eat it every day. On the day she does eat it, she eats a very small amount, not enough to count as a meal, that's for sure. She's still getting the same amount of pumped milk as before - about 28oz.
Wow some of your babies are only nursing 4-5 times in a 24 hour period?? I am so jealous!
Kody is still hit and miss on the solids, some days he will eat 2 oz a couple times a day, other days he will outright refuse all solids. He nurses probably every 2-2.5 hours, day and night. So that would be 10-12 times per 24 hours.
Jo nurses about every 3 hours during the day (about 5 times) and then 2 times overnight. Most days she gets 1 "meal". But since we are doing actual solids (chopped green beans, carrot sticks, pieces of bread, etc), she doesn't ingest much. Mostly just plays with it, tries it, gets it in her hands, etc. So it's not anything substantial enough for her to cut down on nursing.
Joy, our Grace is very similar! She nurses about every 2.5 hours during the day and about the same at night. She gets 2-3 solid meals a day, she eats quite a bit of it, but loves her nursing. She doesn't take a pacifier, so I think that I'm used for that as well, which is fine by me. I'm just enjoying the nursing, although I would love for my period to come back, we are hoping for number 11 anytime
