When did you start purees? How long did it take for baby to "get it"? Was there a specific flavor that they finally found they enjoyed or was it just about learning how to eat it?

I swear, every flavor I put in her mouth, she makes a face like it tastes like dog poop!! We've tried just about every fruit and vegetable. Although, we've only been doing it for about a week and a half or so, she still hasn't "gotten it" or figured it out. Each time we try, she gets about 4-5 spoonfuls - and maybe swallows a half a spoonful just once, and not even every time we try. But she's master at making a dog poop face and just letting it fall out of her mouth. She no longer as the tongue thrust, so she's not pushing it out, but just sitting there with her mouth open and letting it fall out.

I'm overly concerned when it comes to food and eating because Connor had so many delays and never ate 'real' food 'til he was 1. Should I start to be concerned with her? She has super gag reflux whenever she tried solids (BLW) so that's why I decided to give purees a try. She will put anything and everything, except the purees, in her mouth!

I started weston on purees about two months ago. I started w/ veggies then went to fruits. He did great about the third day he had them. He loved sweet potatoes and oatmeal w/ peaches the best.

Ellianna started at about 5 1/2 months. She just loves fruit. We fight when it comes to veggies.

Emerson hates purees
She just wants normal food
I do sneak some purees into her oatmeal but I thinks she's catching on

Grayson eats purees really well, and he is starting on some table food with less success. He caught on quick, fasters than my other kids. His favorites are bananas, sweet potatoes and squash. Everything else gets a yucky face.

We started Leona right around 6 months, and at first she spit everything out. I just kept trying and now (less than one month later) she is eating much better and does not spit things out unless she has had enough. My older daughter did not like starting solids and didn't eat too much until she was able to feed herself.

Zack eats just about anything given to him. I think it took a day or two for him to catch on with the purees. Afterward I give him the spoon to play with and he tries to feed himself. I started out with sweet potatoes and then went to peas. Now we are doing BLW and giving what pureed food I've already made.

We didn't do purées either. I have tried to spoon feed him something mushy a couple if times and he gags and spits it right out. He would much rather try to feed himself with chunks.
