So I am dealing with my third pp AF since having Lilah right now - my first one came back 3 months ago when I cut down to 2 pumps a day, and they have gone right back to being regular...every 28-31 days. The thing is, they are HEAVY. Like crazy heavy (for me anyway). Is this normal? Is it just my body getting back to normal? Before Lilah, and for a long time previous to that, my periods were just medium flow I'd say, even light some months. I have no pain with them (no cramps I mean. I do get that AWFUL ache "down there" on the first day, ugh). My first period 3 months ago was normal - medium or whatever. Last month though was super heavy and I thought it was a fluke, but this month is the same again. They are lasting longer and they are so much heavier. I am paranoid that something is going on.
So glad you posted this - mine are too! Both longer and heavier. Like a regular tampon isn't cutting it like it used to! I now have to use a regular pad as a back up instead of a thin liner during the first few days. I refuse to use a super absorbent tampon. Lol.
It's totally normal. Mine have gotten heavier after each child. And I was quite the bleeder to start. I asked my doc after I had Liam and she said it was completely normal. And that a lot of times they will settle back down after a while (not sure how long, I've gotten pregnant each time pretty quickly). Mine is seemly starting to get a tad lighter again (I use that term loosely) and I have had it back since October. The first was also kinda average. Not sure why it happens though.
