I know there are some foods out there that need to be eaten in moderation or not at all, I forget which ones. Will you stop eating them or just use moderation?

I try to eat Primal/Paleo about 80% of the time, so no grains, starches and sugar.

Other than that, no. I eat a lot of seafood, and I love sushi. I never stopped eating either during my past pregnancies.

I think I too will continue to eat normal just in moderation, I love tuna and ate it once a week during my pregnancies and no problems. My friend also ate sushi during her 2 pregnancies she asked her doctor first and both her boys are fine. I never drink beer wine or coffee so no problem there. Soda I have been good and have been drinking a lot less even before I got pregnant.

No, I don't drink or smoke but I eat whatever I normally eat. Deli meats, sushi from reputable places, caffeine, etc.

The only thing I eat that's a no no is sandwiches. I avoided them for most of my last pregnancy, until the day I googled listeria and found it's more commonly found in fruit and bagged salad than sandwich meat. I think I ate a sandwich every single day after that, lol.

I will cut my caffeine and stop energy drinks but won't totally cut out anything else. I'll still have sandwiches just not as often as I usually do.

The main thing for me is caffeine, I cut out all energy drinks and only drink about a 1 to 2 pops a day. Much lower than it was!

I avoid deli meats and cut back on caffeine. I didn't avoid sushi last time but I'm being more cautious this time so I'll probably avoid it for now. I sometimes have a glass if wine at the end of the second and in the third trimester.

I can already tell I'll be more relaxed with this baby. Caffeine is my major cut back. Everything else will be in moderation.

I think everything in moderation is key.

I am wondering if I can drink Earl Grey tea though...

I'm not a BIG sushi or soft cheese person at all. If I do eat sushi it's the cooked stuff anyway. I gave up caffeine about three years ago, only get what is in hot chocolate/decaf coffee/ chocolate etc. Other than that I just eat what I want. I still drink beer too. Europeans do wine, I can do beer. lol I also do the cat box, and garden and all that fun stuff. I'm an adult, I know how to wash my hands, and not eat the cat poop.

The only thing I eat that would be a no is caffeine and deli meat. So I just nuke the deli meat before eating. I will cut back on caffeine but I can't go cold turkey. I will probably have gestational diabetes again so I'm going to enjoy what I can before my diet is restricted. lol

I eat gluten free I haven't eaten lunch meat in any amount since I had some gall bladder issues back in 2009 - I ended up having my gall bladder removed but I had lost the taste for deli meat so I just don't bother with it now.I love fish so I googled the low risk fishes the other day and was delighted that most of my favourites are low risk. whoohoo. I LOVE trout and try to eat it once a week.I was drinking a couple coffees a day but a few days before I found out I'm pregnant, I stopped drinking coffee rather cold turkey. I just didn't have time to grab a coffee one morning then just didn't feel like it then after 2 days without I figured I'd just kick the regular coffee habit all together. I don't drink much alcohol anyway but a week before finding out I am pregnant my husband bought me a big case of Mikes Hard Lemonade. I only drank 1. what will I do with that case now? LOL a really good reward in 8 months time?

Save your mikes for the summer when it's nice and hot out and you want an adult beverage ! My husband is a big fisherman, so we eat fish all the time too. Trout and salmon is the majority, pan fish like gills in the winter.

Right before I found out I bought a case of cider at Costco and I haven't had any. DH is excited that he has a designated driver for his birthday in June now. Haha!

I'm cutting back on coffee and giving up my vodka. When I quit smoking when I was pregnant with my youngest I never picked it back up (like I had all the times before) so I don't have to quit that again. lol Other than that - nope - no other changes.
