Any tips/tricks that have worked for you? I tried everything when pumping for DS and now dd isn't gaining fast enough either. I haven't done anything yet except increase water and nurse/pump more often. Trying to do one thing at a time to check for improvement.

I also order some flax seed and brewers yeast as well as bought some old fashioned oats to make some lactation cookies. I tried to just eat some oatmeal but I couldn't stomach it

Fenugreek and blessed thistle worked wonders for me.

For me what worked both times was, 3 capsules each, 3 times a day of blessed thistle and fenugreek. 75-100 oz of water. Oatmeal everyday.

Do you take them continuously or just until your supply increases? I know I'm going to probably need to increase my supply again when I go back to work and start pumping regularly so I'm afraid to start supplements now. That's probably crazy sounding but I want to have something to be able to increase it if/when I need it again.

I second the oatmeal and fenugreek. Maybe try one capsule to start that way you can increase when you return to work for pumping if needed? I found 1-2 was enough for me when I added in a session for pumping.

Beer is supposed to increase supply as well (but brewers yeast might be the same thing?). I third fenugreek. 3+ capsules 3 times a day plus add a pumping session or two between breastfeeding might help.

I took it for about 3 days after I noticed the increase.
