So after what was a fabulous weekend, we had a shocking start to the week. As I went to bed on Sunday night I found a few spots of blood on the tp. It continued through the night but never really got much heavier. Monday morning I rang my doctor's office (they are an hour away) and they suggested I go see a local GP as I thought it may have been either thrush or an abrasion. So off I go. The GP has a look, can't see any signs of thrush or abrasions and is concerned the my cervix appears to be opening. So I ring my doctor's office back and they can't get me in until Tuesday morning. They put me on complete bed rest until then. Bleeding stopped on Monday night and I saw my doctor on Tuesday. Everything was just fine and bubs was bouncing around quite happy. She explained that a GP not used to seeing the cervix of a multi-para woman can mistake a very normal slightly open cervix for something more serious which seems to be what happened.
So that was certainly not a great way to start the week. Here's hoping it ends much better!!
Thanks ladies, having a quiet week this week. As silly as it may sound but I am feeling calmer now than I have since I fell pregnant. I have had such a sense of forboding since I got my BFP and now that has eased a bit.
