Several websites offer free comfort items to grieving mothers, so I wanted to share the links with you. These are done on a volunteer basis, so depending on the volume of requests they receive, it may take a while to get your items.

http://www.memoriesofmariam.com/ Order a bracelet and/or Certificate of Life for free

http://www.shininglightfund.org/request.htm Request a bracelet for free

And this is an excerpt from a post from AGEESMOMMY:
I found a church in NEW YORK CITY that honors babies that have passed its called "THE SHRINE OF HOLY INNOCENTS" they write down the babies name in their book of life. Every first monday of the month at 12:15 a mass is celebrated in honor of the childrens names who are inscribed in the book of life and for their families. http://www.innocents.com/
(Thank you!)

May you find peace and comfort during your time of sorrow.

I requested a bracelet too and ordered one from the other site so hopefully I will end up with one from one place or the other. However seeing that these places are struggling to keep going is so sad. I have made it my personal endeavor to use the resources I have available to see that these places are funded. I am a consultant for BeautiControl an at home spa and makeup business. BeautiControl is a mulitmillion dollar industry that supports our very own charity organization called W.H.O or Women Helping Others that funds organizations like these with grants. I am going to look into what it takes to get grants sent to these organizations as I feel it is important for all of us to be able to connect and have closer through organizations like these. I would also like to see the awareness of Pregnancy and Infant Loss spread and if these organizations struggle to stay above water then I feel our awareness struggles as well. It has been amazing to me that until I had my losses, I didn't realize the numbers that loose a child each and every day. With those numbers, if we all chip in together we should be able to fund an organization like this.
The BeautiControl Unit that I belong to is a very charitable group and at our next meeting I am going to see what I can get put together to support these groups.
Another group I saw mentioned in another post is pregancylossribbons.com. I didn't see where this organization offered free breavment packages but I was pleases to see the scrapbook momentos that they offer for miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss. Check it out, they have lots of other items as well.
