I have a question about using mutliple colors. Would I just bind off after the first color combo ' Work 6 rows with 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C.' then cast on with the new color combo?

Here is the pattern:

Thanks in advanced!

Pattern:
Blue Lagoon Blanket
Lion Brand® Babysoft - Microspun

GAUGE:

14 stitches + 24 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in Garter stitch (knit every row) with 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C held together. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

STRIPE PATTERN
Work 6 rows with 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C.
Work 4 rows with 1 strand of A and 1 strand of D.
Work 6 rows with 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C.
Work 6 rows with 1 strand of B and 1 strand of C.
Work 4 rows with 1 strand of B and 1 strand of D.

BLANKET

With 1 strand of A and 1 strand of C held together, cast on 105 stitches. Work in Garter stitch (knit every row) in Stripe Pattern until piece measures 34 in. [86.5 cm] from beginning. Bind off.

FINISHING

Weave in ends.

Nope, you wouldn't want to bind off your stitches.

To change color for stripes you can either carry the yarn up the side of your work or cut them off each time. It depends on what you're knitting and how wide your stripes are.

For a blanket knit with yarn held double I would probably go ahead and cut the yarn each time.

To do that, knit the first stripe, then cut color A/C leaving a few inches of tail (long enough that you'll be able to weave it in easily at the end). Then pick up color A/D and hold it taut in your hand and just knit with it as if it were attached. It takes a little practice and your first few stitches in the new color might end up pulling a little loose but you can fix it at the end when you're weaving in ends.

Hope that helps!
