Every time I think I've seen all there is to see on JM, I find a new place to go. Anyway, I'm VERY new to knitting and am loving every minute of it. DH got me a book/kit last year from the children's section of the bookstore. I tried it then, but was all thumbs. I picked it up again after reading Maggie Sefton's knitting mystery series and this time it was easy! I haven't done anything grand yet, just a little coin purse and a sunglasses case. I'm working on a small purse now (all from the kit/book). Eventually I'm hoping to be able to make sweaters that fit and are actually long enough for my long-waisted torso. My grandmother knitted, but she passed away when I was still in high school and not yet interested in knitting. I kind of want to continue her legacy.

Anyway, I've been around JM for a while, so wanted to introduce myself over here. I peeked at some threads and found some great resources. I love the modified fake isle hat that one of you made. Gorgeous!

Welcome here. I'm an obsessed knitter though I have yet to make a sweater I'm 100% satisfied with. It will happen someday, I know.
