Thats where I am at, although I havent mentioned it to DH yet. I have toyed with the idea, very informal like a BBQ or something and we would do the reveal during that. Nothing Big or anything.

I've always thought they looked so fun, and I tear up watching videos of them. And knowing that this will very likely be our last...maybe! We'll see. We have logistical issues with planning things in advance, since DH's work schedule is unpredictable. But it would be fun!

I'm not a fan of gender reveal parties, personally. I think the only people who really enjoy them are the parents (and maybe super close family members).

Now, throwing a BBQ, inviting friends over for beer and food...and just casually mentioning the gender? That's cool.

ThaiSpice that is why I considered doing it, this will be our last and I thought it would be fun.

Sapphire I recently went to a gender reveal party (a HUGE gender reveal party) and everyone was excited to find out the gender. Not just the parents and close family members. Ours would be similar to what you mentioned but not quite casually mentioning the gender, we would do something special just not something huge if that makes sense.

We live to far from family to do a party, or I'd think about doing one. Probably going to come up with a cute picture or something instead.

We were thinking about doing it. It's a fun way to get family and friends together and I've never been to a gender reveal where everyone wasn't truly happy and excited for the couple. I think they're really cute so we will probably be doing one.

Maybe. I would like to wait until we know the gender before we announce the pregnancy. It would be cool to announce both at the same time!

That would be fun lapoema, just invite everyone over for a BBQ or something and annouce both. Most of our close family and friends will already know about the pregnancy, I will not be posting on FB or anything though till after we know the gender. After the loss last time they are all so excited about this pregnancy (the few that know at least) that I think it would be fun. I was worried about a Gender Reveal and a Shower being kind of an over kill though what do yall think? The reveal would be much smaller, just close family and friends and the shower would be bigger inviting all our family and friends. I am sure some of you probably wouldnt agree with having a Shower for our 4th (3rd here on earth) but I have had mutliple people already want to throw one and I feel every baby should be celebrated so I am going to let them all get together and just throw one shower.

I never have done one, because by that stage of pregnancy the last thing I want is to be planning a party. This year my daughter wants a full-on birthday party in August, so if we decide to share the gender I think she would have a lot of fun being the one who got to tell everyone during her party.

That is a sweet idea, my daughter would LOVE to be the one to share which is why we may be doing some kind of 'party' more like get together. I am going to let the kids tell them. Well sort of, but whatever we decide to do the kids will be involved, when I was pregnant with my now Angel they wanted to spray everyone with pink or blue silly string so may go with that. But whatever it is we decide I will let the kids do it.

We did a gender reveal with our first, just really close friends and family and it was super fun, the announcement was made by cutting a cake with and the inside was blue. We moved across the country shortly after our son was born, and the odds of being able to see any family after we find out the gender is slim, so we plan on buying either a pink or blue sleeper, and then mailing it to my mom (so she can have the anticipation of waiting for it in the mail and then the surprise when she opens it) and then we'll announce it publicly after that!
