MFM appointment yesterday. Same ol same ol. Giant placenta, baby who is going to outgrow carseats way too fast. etc.

Miss "L" is measuring 29w1d average between her head and her belly. But is nearly 32 weeks in length! Estimated at 3 pounds. Reme was born less than 4 weeks from where I am right now and he was considered large at 18.5" and 4lbs 5oz.... if she keeps this up we're going to give baby Reme a run for his money!!

My placenta is large. It is officially off the charts in size. They'll be checking it again at 32 weeks (so far she's not slowing in growth enough to be concerned at all), and may move me to scans every two weeks. MFM is putting his money on her needing to come out at 38 weeks due to placental shut down, but he won't make any official recommendations until we have a reason to. He said her being big now really works in my favor IF my placenta does start to give out early. I do have to do kick counts twice a day, but I don't have to follow the usual rules. They just want me to be paying attention to her movement. I told them not to worry, I love to sit back with a remote on my belly watching it jiggle. It entertains the cats too!

So my goal is to be ready for her by 36 weeks at the latest. Worst case I spend 5 weeks doing extra crafting and fussing with the house because she doesn't come until 41 weeks.

Yep, that's pretty much how MFM works. Don't worry until they tell you to worry, lol. With being monitored so closely they'll know if there's anything sketchy going on with your placenta.

I like that he's honest with me about it though. Because it means something like, weight loss would make me call, where as I wouldn't normally. He's pretty sure every pound I've gained so far is either coursing through my veins or situated in my uterus. She's 3lbs, Placenta 1.5.. and I've gained roughly 5lbs total...

But it also lets me know not to wait until the last minute to get everything done. Which normally I'd do. I haven't made a single diaper for her yet.. I swear I'm going to start them, and then spend hours on pinterest looking up patterns. Doh!
