I can't believe it's November already - we can now say "next month is Christmas" - what a scary thought!!!!!! I hope the weather is warming up for everyone - here in Christchurch the weather has been a bit sucky lately... not fun!

What does the week ahead hold for everyone?

I'll have to check out your facebook - sorry things are pooey at the moment!

I really need to start looking for Gab's Christmas pressies... I have no idea what to get her - although I think we're getting her a bike.. so I guess it's just Santa type presents I need to choose

wow only 2 posts in here... and we are 1/2 way through the month already.

I'm going to really hate this time of the year. I have my daughters 3rd birthday on the 7th dec. Then xmas, but we are going to qld, and that is going to be one mega long drive (1800km approx 1100 miles) but it will be worth it cause I haven't seen my parents since easter. And then Miles is turning 1 on 3rd Jan.

I'm so glad I organised hampers, they come tomorrow! yay!

It'll be great to see your parents, Matilda!!!! I hope the trip goes well.... Not sure I'd like to try that with Gaby... actually she enjoys car trips, so she'd probably be okay LOL...

How is everyone? This board is quieter than usual.. not that it's usually a hive of activity.. lol

great i'm up at stupid o'clock.

Miles usually wakes up for breakfast, i'm usually rudely awaken, but not this time, i wake up from my stupid body clock, and guess who is still sleeping.

My sister is here though, so hopefully I get a nanna nap.

I would prefer to fly to my parents, but it's just so expensive, it works out cheaper to drive.

We are going to do it over 3 days with lots of breaks. We have to stop in dubbo so we can go to the zoo... i mean we are passing through it anyway so we might as well

As a kid my parents drove from mt newman to perth, and that's over 1000km and that took 2 days (1 night). I was talking to my dad about it yesterday and he said that they could do it in 1 day, but it was too much for me and my sister, so they broke it up over 2 days.
So fingers cross.

spreading it out with lots of breaks is definately the way to go! Even driving 6 hours to my Grandma's house this past summer, I broke it up into a 2 day trip... I could have done it in a day, but I think Gaby coped better having that break

Ugh I was awake (wide awake) at 6am - so I got up and had a shower! Now it's 8am & feels like it should be midday *yawn*

i could go with more sleep as well.

Miles woke up at 11pm last night just as I had fallen asleep. Then Kayla wakes up wanting a drink and stupid o'clock. Then miles woke up again at 4am... stupid teeth, they are killing me and him.

I manage to get a 1 hour nap while he had a nap, but could so do with more.

Mellie - way to go on the 'early' night!!! How is Lucy sleeping?

Matilda - ugh I hope you get a full nights sleep at SOME point in the near future! I forget how horrible teething is... guess in a year or so I'll fully remember though.. hehe

We're heading to Queenstown tomorrow for a week (me & Gab), I can't wait.. we're flying down, so a 7 hour trip is cut to 50 minutes... me likey!

She's sleeps through to about 5am every second night. Oddly enough that's the night Rodger gets up with her. Figures she'd sleep longer for him than me. My nights she's up at 3 to feed.
